KUROCO STRIPE OLD, Edo Kiriko Glass
Patterns are drawn on the surface of plain glass with gold pen or sumi ink when creating Edo Kiriko. The glass is then cut tracing the pattern using a blade made of diamond. As the surface of the glass becomes uneven after cutting, it is smoothened with a grindstone.
This “Kuroco Striped Old Glass” was created to satisfy the modern taste of our customers. A modern and luxurious design made using the traditional technique of Edo Kiriko. Designed with an image of a straight grain, the simple pattern of straight lines run parallel to each other. Carefully calculated and crafted, the striped pattern is evenly spaced. The color jet black was chosen for a modern and novel feel.
