STAR ANISE OLD PAIR, Edo Kiriko Glass

KIMOTO GLASSWARE Seiichi Kimoto
Seiichi Kimoto

Edo Kiriko is a form of glass cutting in which grinders and whetstones are applied to the surface of glassware, and a number of different cutting techniques are employed using a cutter with diamond in order to manufacture products.

This is an Old Pair with the traditional Star Anise Pattern. The mesmerizing trihexagonal tiling consists of equilateral triangles and regular hexagons arranged in a way that each hexagon is surrounded by triangles and vice versa. This pattern has long been used in Japanese basketry and is one of the most popular traditional patterns used when making Edo Kiriko. Crafted with a mix of finely honed aesthetic sensibility and a keen eye for detail, this pair of glasses is a masterpiece.

We recommend this as a souvenir or gift to people you care about.
